Economics is everywhere! In this workshop, you’ll see how Broadway musicals can be used to teach students about economics, personal finance, entrepreneurialism, and the Jacksonville economy. You'll also learn about the Second Wave Women's Rights Movement from historian Dana Logan and about the history of the music industry from historian Maureen McCormick.
We will serve a light dinner, send you home with fantastic resources, and you'll attend a full performance of Beautiful: The Carol King Musical. There might even be a Q&A session after the show with some of the actors from the Broadway touring cast!
When: Thursday, April 12 from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Where: The Omni Jacksonville Hotel, 245 Water St
*Parking is included if you use the Omni's self-parking service.
